Once you have the app, just search games for Michigan Mudcats. Once the scoring of the game has been started at the ballpark, you should be able to access it.

Michigan Mudcats 6 - Swartz Creek Dragons 5 (game 2)

In the nightcap of a season-opening doubleheader, the Mudcats won a back and forth affair over Swartz Creek by a score of 6-5, to sweep the doubleheader.

Swartz Creek scored in the first, but the Mudcats answered right back to tie it up when Max Eaton walked, went to second on a wild pitch, and scored on Tim Hayden's RBI single. In the top of the second though, Swartz Creek added three more to make it 4-1. Eaton started on the hill for the Mudcats and pitched better than the score showed. He wasn't helped at all by his defense, with errors leading to all four runs Swartz Creek scored in the first two innings.

In the third, Eaton singled and scored on Hayden's double, Hayden advancing to 3rd on the the throw. Brian Caine walked and stole 2nd, and advanced to 3rd on the wild throw, with Hayden scoring. Jason Caine then singled his brother in to tie the game at 4-4.

Swartz Creek scored again in the fifth, to push ahead 5-4, but the Mudcats came right back as Brian Caine reached on an error and stole 2nd. Andrew Morningstar tripled him in and scored what would be the game-winning run on Jason Caine's sacrifice fly to right field.

Brian Caine picked up the win in relief, pitching the final four innings and striking out five.

Michigan Mudcats 6 - Swartz Creek Dragons 2 (game 1)

The Mudcats opened the regular season hosting the Swartz Creek Dragons for a doubleheader at Joe Pitock Field on the campus of Grand Blanc High School. Justin Pijaszek picked up the win with a complete game on the mound, striking out six along the way.

The Mudcats got on the board first with a pair of runs in the third when Andrew Morningstar drove home Tyler Hitchcock and Tim Hayden with a two-out single. Swartz Creek answered with two of their own in the fourth to send the game to the fifth inning tied at two.

Brian Caine and Morningstar reached base to lead off the fifth, and were on 2nd & 3rd with nobody out when Jason Caine hit into a fielder's choice, his brother being retired at home. A stolen base later though, Jack Scribner singled home two to put the Mudcats on top to stay.

The Mudcats got two more in the sixth when Hitchcock scored on Brian Caine's RBI groundout and Tim Hayden stole home on the back end of a double steal.

Michigan Mudcats 8 - Great Lakes Cyclones 5 (scrimmage)

In a season-opening scrimmage, the Mudcats used seven pitchers en route to an 8-5 victory over the Great Lakes Cyclones. Brian Caine was the hitting star for the night, going 2-3 with a double, a triple and three RBIs. Tim Hayden also chipped with in a pair of RBIs. Pitching one inning each for the Mudcats were Tyler Hitchcock, Justin Pijaszek, Max Eaton, Andrew Morningstar, Keagan Titmuss, Kyle Genord, and Brian Caine.

Help the Mudcats...and Help Yourself!

Consider helping out the Mudcats through one of two great fundraising opportunities:

1) Our annual Super Bowl pool - Entries are $10 apiece and four winners will be selected based on the game score at the end of each quarter.

2) This year we have an exciting new opportunity in conjunction with our friends at Foutch's Strike Zone. Tickets are being sold (also $10 apiece) for a raffle that will include some AMAZING prizes!

• Grand prize will be a Spring Training VIP Fantasy Trip. The winner and a guest will attend Tigers spring training in Lakeland, Florida February 25-28. Airfare and lodging will be included as will tickets to the annual Tiger BBQ, the 20th annual Major League Golf Scramble and Dinner, and a Tiger Town VIP Experience!
